FisaCure develops data driven solutions that help healthcare providers increase profitability, recover lost revenue and eliminate paper EOB manual processing. FisaCure's .MED engine creates a portal for Providers to access information over the internet, while meeting HIPAA standards.

FisaCure's data capture technology has evolved from technology originally developed in 1994. The initial versions were used for capturing data regarding consumer experiences in the hospitality industry. The process was awarded a United States patent in 1999. In 1996, the data capture technology (OCR Optical Character Recognition and validation) was extended to capture medical claim data from HCFA 1500 forms and UB92 forms. Medical databases were created, data validation rules established, and process controls were implemented to create a data capture process that met stringent requirements for accuracy while creating an efficient process for converting paper claim documents to electronic files (ANSI 837, NSF, and proprietary formats).

In 2000, the data capture process was extended to EOB documents. Similar to processing claim documents, specific EOB databases, data validation rules, and process controls were created to meet data accuracy and efficiency requirements. During the prior ten-year period, multiple OCR engines have been utilized within the proprietary methodologies for form recognition and navigation.

FisaCure currently maintains our third generation of software to read, interpret, and validate EOB data from paper documents. As EOB processing has been FisaCure's focus over the prior six plus years, the technology processes are continuously enhanced to provide additional capabilities, controls, and efficiencies.
